These Mars Bar Caramel Crispie Cakes are a nostalgic no-bake favourite — chewy, chocolatey, and wonderfully simple to make. Using melted Mars Bars, golden syrup, and rice crispies, they come together in minutes and taste just like childhood.
Ingredients:
- 290g (or 7 bars) of Mars Bars
- 125g margarine
- 250g rice crispies
- 180g golden syrup
- Chocolate for decoration (white or milk or dark)
Method:
- Line a muffin tin with paper cases.
- Chop up the Mars Bars and chocolate into small pieces.
- In a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (double boiler style), melt the Mars Bars, milk chocolate, and golden syrup, stirring until smooth and combined.
- Remove from heat, then fold in the crisp rice cereal until evenly coated.
- Divide the mixture among the paper cases, pressing it in gently.
- Allow to cool until chocolate sets (you can chill in the fridge to speed this).
- Serve at room temperature (or slightly chilled) for best texture.
